Hailing from Tijuana, this band sound more like they come from a small countryside town in Scotland. Combining elements of The Cocteau Twins, Joy Division and Stereolab, it is still a fresh ambient/shoe-gaze sound.
Their full length “Pasar de Las luces” features 13 tracks of beautifully produced ambient rock. “Quiero Ontono De Neuvo” has guitar elements recalling early Joy Division with a bit of Kraut rock bass (Think Neu!)
Certainly tracks such as “Nostalgia” bear to mind the 4AD project This Mortal Coil. It is well done and despite the fact we’ve seen this sort of romantic gloom before, I loved this record when it came out earlier this year, and still find myself going back to it.
The band say this album is “a compilation of our lives from two years ago to now.”
The album was released February 23, 2018 on the LA based indie label Innovative Leisure Records.
Worth a listen. The band are on tour and you can check out more about them on their website.
