Thanks to the site, “This Day in Music”, today I learned that Paul McCartney was not the only 1960s star to suffer rumors of his death.  This week in 1966, radio stations apparently reported that The Who Lead Singer Roger Daltrey was dead. In fact, guitarist Pete Townsend had been involved in an car accident. Both are alive and well today.

Daltrey’s latest recording “As Long as I have you” features Townsend on most of the tracks, along with Style Council member Mick Talbot.

The majority of the tracks are covers. I am in love with his cover of Stevie Wonder’s “You Haven’t Done Nothing” at the moment.

Definitely grab this – its a throw back to his R&B roots and his voice stronger than ever.
