I’m not much of a “Greatest Hits” fan but with the Temptations it’s as good as it gets.

The death of Dennis Edwards hit me hard. I’ll never, ever, forget the first time I heard Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone. And I’ll never forget the time the B’s were playing somewhere in Florida and these really big guys in track suits were walking around our bus and trying to look in the windows. Finally, Fred came out of the back and about died. He grabbed some of the Temptations LP’s that he’d been buying along the way and ran out and invited the guys in. Of course, it was the Temptations, and they were checking the bus out. David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Otis!! everyone. Fred had them sign his records and we gabbed for a bit and that was that

Show business.
